In partnership with the Alight "Welcome Home Project," ICA has started distributing meals to Afghan families currently being settled in and around our communities. Meals provided include specific Halal groceries to ensure food is culturally relevant to our new neighbors.

During the months of October and November, more than two dozen Minnetonka Police Department officers participated in a no shave contest with the intention of raising funds for ICA.

First started 15 years ago, Maynards Restaurant of Excelsior will again be hosting ICA Day. On Monday, November 28, spend the day at Maynards as 100% of all gross proceeds will benefit ICA.

ICA Food Shelf is excited to host the eighth annual The Great Taste on October 14 at 7:00 p.m. The event is taking place virtually and will again be emceed by Belinda Jensen of Kare 11. We recently caught up with Belinda to explore her history with ICA and find out what she’s excited for this year.

Throughout the month of August, when customers purchased a can of Merrick dog food, Pet Stuff matched their effort and donated a can to the ICA Food Shelf. In the end, 1,092 cans of dog food were donated to ICA.

When longtime ICA supporters Lorri Buuck, Carol Allis, Sherry Niles and Margie Swanson of Applewood Pointe Minnetonka started a fundraiser for ICA Food Shelf in March of 2021, they never imagined it would turn into something so much bigger.

ICA Food Shelf is partnering with ResourceWest, Hennepin County and Black Nurses Rock to offer a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, September 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hopkins Activity Center.

ICA is proud to announce a new collaboration with the City of Hopkins that will provide easily accessible employment tech support throughout the fall. Starting September 7, a volunteer from ICA will be at the Hopkins Activity Center to help members of the community search for their perfect position.

ICA continues to practice environmental stewardship by minimizing trash and diverting a majority of waste materials into recycling. Last year alone, ICA separated over 100,000 pounds of recyclable materials from trash.
