50th Anniversary Matching Grant (3).png

Your support transforms our work in step with our neighbors’ needs and sets the stage for the next 50 years.

Your donation will be matched from now through the end of the summer!

ICA launched a $100,000 match in early May. During this time, the community has once again stepped up. We are happy to announce that we are 75% of the way there - raising almost $75,000 towards the match. Thank you everyone who has donated!

And, exciting news! We recently received notice of an additional $30,000 grant award! Thank you to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for your support through this additional challenge grant.

  • $5050: Keeps Four Families in Their Homes, Preventing Homelessness. Preventing homelessness in our community is one of ICA’s key initiatives. Since the onset of COVID and its associated challenges, the number of families needing assistance as well as the amount needed has greatly increased.

  • $2,550: Funds ICA’s School Snack Bin Program for Three Months. ICA provides Snack Bins to 17 schools within the Minnetonka and Hopkins School Districts to provide snacks to students in need. Snack bins are filled with healthy, grab-and-go snacks for students experiencing food insecurity. These items replace a missing breakfast or mid-day snack as needed.

  • $1,050 Sustains ICA's Mobile Food Shelf for One Week. ICA's mobile food shelf delivers food to low-income apartment buildings in our service area, providing groceries to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and homebound families. Deliveries include non-perishables as well as fresh produce, milk, eggs, meat, and other nutritious foods.

  • $550: Funds ICA’s Transportation Assistance Program for One Month. This program provides bus passes and other transportation to our neighbors in need. Your gift will enable 64 people get to work, school, doctor’s appointments, and the food shelf.

  • $250: Provides One Month’s Worth of Home Delivery Services to Six Households. Home delivery is available for neighbors who are unable to come into the food shelf due to disability or medical reasons, and serves many single senior households. This program has increased by 40% since the start of COVID and there is still more need.

  • $150: Feeds a Family of Four for One Month. Your donation will provide nutritious, well-balanced food to our neighbors in need. We offer a wide selection of fresh produce, dairy, protein, and other perishable foods, as well as non-perishable vegetables, protein, grains, and more.
